Let’s be honest here, folks…on a hot summer day a frozen cocktail is pretty much IT! Right!?! Well, that’s how it used to be but now that I’m on Mom Duty, I fill up my blender with other exciting ingredients!
There are so many incredible summer fruits available right now and the prices are unbeatable! If you are like me and get into the habit of buying too many luscious fruits but don’t have enough room in your fridge or belly, don’t let them go to waste! Blend them up and turn that wholesome goodness into freezer pops! Since these freezer pops are sugar free and seriously healthy why not add a little more snazz with some Chia seeds. And no, this won’t make a chia pet grow in your freezer. Chia seeds are loaded with antioxidants and are rich in essential fatty acids. So sprinkle some in!
This is something the entire family will love! And if you have a teething wee tot – this is IT!!
Chia Freezer Pops
- 10 Strawberries, hulled
- 3 Bananas
- 1 tsp. Chia Seeds
First you need a vessel in which to freeze your fruit. There are LOTS of options out there, PLEASE make sure you are searching for a safe product that is intended to be frozen!!! BPA and phthalate free plastic, silicone and stainless steel is the way to go!!!! #1 Plastic should not be frozen!!! Okay? Okay! Now then, break out the blender or food processor and let’s make some freezer pops!
Simply toss your fruit and chia seeds in to the blender…
Pop the batch in the freezer and wait patiently until completely frozen.

These freezer pops made the perfect afternoon snack for Ava and me! She loved it!!
