Happy Thanksgiving!
It’s almost here! Are you ready? I’m going to share some of my favorite Thanksgiving-ish recipes. But first I have to tell you what I am thankful for!
I am thankful for my family! My amazing husband and daughter fill my life with such joy! My parents and in-laws give me so much advice and inspiration. And all of my siblings help to add to the wonderful chaos that is my life!
I am thankful that all of my family survived the Joplin tornado and they are even stronger than before! I am also thankful and incredibly proud of my hometown and all the progress that has been made there in just a few short months.
I am thankful for all the opportunities I have had to travel the globe and all of the trips to come. It is through exploring this world and exposing myself to different cultures that I am able to grow as a person, sister, wife, mother and friend.
And of course, I am thankful for food! I am thankful for the ability to afford food to eat everyday. I am thankful for the skills (some still on a learning curve) to cook healthy and wholesome food for my family. I am thankful for all of you who read this blog and keep me inspired with your comments and thoughts.
Now, onto the feast!
Try starting your Thanksgiving morning off with a Cranberry Smoothie.
This is my favorite basic recipe for roasting poultry. Double the ingredients if roasting a turkey.
For those of you that have a new baby.
And don’t let that leftover turkey go to waste. Try these leftover turkey Quesadillas.

Wishing you a fabulous Thanksgiving – looks like you have a feast going already!
