Cranberry Granola

Another one of my favorite gifts to give from my kitchen is granola.  I already shared my Pumpkin Granola recipe with you so today I will share a simple and tasty Cranberry Granola recipe.  Wrap this up with a bow and the recipe and it’s a perfect Christmas gift or even Hostess gift.

Cranberry Granola

  • 4 cups Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Wheat Germ
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Almonds, chopped or slivered
  • 1 cup Dried Cranberries
  • 1 cup Honey or Agave Nectar
  • 1/3 cup Canola Oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.  In a large bowl combine the oats, wheat germ, nuts and cranberries.  In a medium saucepan stir together the oil, honey, vanilla and cinnamon.  Heat just until warm and thoroughly combined.  Drizzle the wet ingredients over the dry and stir to combine.  Spread the mixture in a thin layer on a baking sheet.

Bake for 30 – 40 minutes stirring every 10 minutes to allow it to toast evenly.

Allow the granola to cool before serving.  Store in an airtight container.
