The official start of summer is here. For a lot of us that means backyard grilling, swimsuits, frosty treats and flip flops! I love it all! Instead of the traditional burgers and fries, try these green bean fries. They are incredible! And incredibly easy!
Green Bean Fries
- Fresh Green Beans
- Drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Toss the green beans with the olive oil, salt and pepper. Make sure that every green bean is coated. Spread the beans onto a roasting pan. Roast for 25-30 minutes and stir after 15 minutes.
Ready to enjoy! Serve these “fries” with the BBQ Chickpea Burger or Black Bean Burgers!

What a great idea, love this!
try them with coconut oil – yumm !!
I could definitely snack on these kind of fries any day! Love it =)
Those beans look fantastic. I cannot wait to make them and gobble them all up myself. Come and visit us on Friday. We are having a great giveaway. Flip flops that you will love.
I can’t wait to try these. They look awesome. Going to the store today!
This looks wonderful and healthy. I plan to try this over a smokey grill. Yummm
Whitney, this sounds like a great alternative for the heavier starch-fest of regular fries… And congrats on making the FoodBuzz Top 9
Blessings!
Congratulations on your foodbuzz top 9, today!
I have had these at a restaurant. They were very good. I will try these at home. I do have a question. Can you use can green beans for this or just fresh? I will use fresh, but I was just wondering.
I’m not sure about green beans from a can. I doubt that they would turn out very crispy. Fresh is better in my opinion. I hope you enjoy!
