Peanut Butter Acorns

I really love Halloween!  I love dressing up and getting costumes ready.  AND I especially love making special treats!  But in recent years I have become very anti-food coloring.  There are still tons of options for Halloween treats without all the funky food coloring!  And today’s recipe is a perfect treat not just for Halloween but the whole Fall season!

The recipe uses one of my peanut butter ball recipes.  I have several to chooses from:

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

Lactation Oat Balls

Protein Oat Goodies

Make the recipe of your choosing, roll into acorn-ish shapes.  Form into a ball and then smush it a bit.  Then let them set up in the fridge for about 30-45 minutes.  Melt some chocolate and dip the tip into the chocolate.  Then immediately dip into a layer of sunflower seeds (you could also use sesame seeds).  I used fiber cereal for the little stem on the end.
